The House and Gardens within at Loughcrew Estate date back to the 17th century – making it a landscape of historical and religious significance. Here, you’ll find a medieval motte and St. Oliver Plunkett’s family church among other old buildings. You’ll also find lime and yew avenues, extensive lawns and terraces, a water garden and a magnificent herbaceous border. There is a Fairy Trail for children and a coffee shop too!

Louchrew Estate is a 1 hour from Dublin and is located below the, Neolithic cairn topped, Loughcrew Hills and close to the Boyne Valley.

The main house itself can sleep up to 30 guests with additional accommodation options available in the area.

Loughcrew is absolutely magical. I honestly wish we could get married there again!

We are an American couple, and my now husband has old family ties to Ireland. We always wanted to visit, and once we got engaged we thought it would be a special place to have our small wedding.

From start to finish and some 70 emails Diana was our amazing point person. She answered every single one of our questions with great care and attention to detail. We felt held and heard in every step of our overseas planning process.

Once we arrived at the estate, after a 15 hour journey and some 4,000 miles, Róisín greeted us with a welcome drink and the biggest, warmest hug. Although we had traveled to a new and mysterious land, we felt right at home. It's clear that the staff at Loughcrew want you to feel welcomed and loved.

She is very kind and understanding- which is highly appreciated in stressful times! Loughcrew is very bespoke, meaning you can make all the choices and decisions to make the day how you want it. While this is more work during planning, it ensures everything will be perfectly how you pictured it. They always made me feel like they just wanted me to be happy! The grounds and the house are both gorgeous too. I will say, it is a bit on the pricier side for a smaller wedding, but it was definitely worth the cost! Would highly recommend for the perfect Irish countryside wedding.
