St. Oliver Plunkett was born and rared in Loughcrew. Just a few minutes drive away are the Loughcrew Cairns, huge passage tombs built over 5000 years ago. We are the holders of the keys which enable you access inside the tombs themselves!

Tough Mudder returns to Loughcrew for 2016!

Following the huge success of hosting Tough Mudder Ireland at Loughcrew Adventure Centre in 2015, we are delighted to host the mucky madness once again in 2016!

Tough Mudder is a team-oriented 10-12 mile (18-20 km) obstacle course designed to test physical strength and mental grit. Tough Mudder puts camaraderie over finisher rankings and is not a timed race but a team challenge that allows participants to experience exhilarating, yet safe, world-class obstacles they won’t find anywhere else.
